Ambassador John Bolton is the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Permanent US Representative to the UN under President George W. Bush and as a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. Ambassador Bolton was also of counsel at Kirkland & Ellis and a contributor to Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.
